Douwe Macaré breaks world record with the nosemanual trick

How does it feel to carve your name into skateboarding history? Our ambassador Douwe Macaré can tell you, because in November 2023, he officially broke the world record for the longest nosemanual trick ever done. If you're not familiar, the nosemanual trick involves balancing on the front 2 wheels of the skateboard while going forward. Seems impossible, doesn’t it? Well, the longest recorded nosemanual was 84 meters, set in 2014.

“It took Douwe 4 or 5 tries, and it was pretty nerve-wracking. There was wind, rough ground, so not an easy setup. On his last attempt, we were wondering if he even had the energy left in him. As a joke, we marked 500 meters, not thinking he’d get close… but then he did it.”
