The dinner table innovation: why 2-way glass works

Glass isn’t new. But the way we’re using it is.

Our new 750ml SEA Water bottles are part of a 2-way glass system. Instead of being used once and thrown out, they’re returned, cleaned, refilled, and sent back out. It’s smooth, simple, and designed to work without much thought. Just how it should be.

To make this dream come true, we partnered with Pakt, a Dutch startup creating the infrastructure for returnable glass. They take care of the whole system: transportation, cleaning, sorting, and circulation.

So here’s how it works:

Let’s say you’re running a restaurant. You serve SEA Still or Sparkling in our sleek glass bottles. Once they’re empty, you pop them back in the crate they came in (made from recycled plastic, duh!). From there, Pakt picks them up, cleans, sorts them by shape, and gets them ready to go again.

They handle thousands of bottles per batch, switching shapes from water to wine. And because everything’s done locally, it stays efficient and low-impact.

Big thanks to Thijs and the team at Pakt for building the engine behind the scenes. This is what modern distribution looks like. Clean, circular, and totally invisible to the people just enjoying the drink.
