#CanChange, a new way to think about water
Along the way #CanChange became part of our DNA. More than a contribution, it’s a mindset. Our impact partners continuously inspire us to rethink every step of our journey. From how we source and filter seawater to how we package and deliver it, we’re tackling the problem from every angle: No plastic. No fossil fuels. No over-reliance on freshwater. And that’s essential, because we’re facing a global water crisis.
The paradox of water
It’s hard to believe, but while 70% of the world’s surface is covered in water, less than 1% of it is available for human consumption. That’s because almost all of it is seawater while some is locked away in icecaps and glaciers.
Meanwhile, 4 billion people already lack access to clean drinking water, and by 2050, over half the world’s population could be living in water-stressed areas. This means we’re facing a serious challenge, but there’s a way forward.
Rethinking freshwater
Traditionally, water is being shipped across oceans in single-use plastic bottles, pumped from overexploited freshwater sources or desalinated using fossil fuel and energy intensive processes. This model isn’t built for the future. It’s outdated and unsustainable.
At SEA Water, we’ve reimagined desalination and how we consume clean water. We localize production to eliminate long-haul transport and reduce emissions. Our modular scalable systems use 100% renewable energy, powered by the sun and wind, and can be deployed anywhere in the world. Our systems are up to 75% more energy-efficient than conventional desalination.
We package our water in 100% recyclable aluminum cans and refillable glass bottles, both designed to be reused or recycled without losing quality.
With just 100m³ of SEA Water, we eliminate the need for up to 300,000 single-use plastic bottles, bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills, or worse, our oceans.
This means less CO2 in the atmosphere, more resilient communities, and fair water access.

We are actively mapping our impact to better understand how we can create the most meaningful, lasting change. We’re making a difference, step by step, to solve the water crisis in a way that doesn’t harm the planet while continuously refining our own approach to make sure every step we take contributes to a positive, sustainable future.
