Sea Water at ZeeZout festival
Eight ocean lovers, permanent ink, and a festival ground turned into an art exhibition.
We came to ZeeZout with a simple idea: celebrate people who literally carry the ocean with them. Leading up to the festival, we found eight ocean lovers with maritime tattoos: ships, anchors, waves, mermaids – real people with real stories about why the sea matters. Photographer Dennis Branko captured their portraits, and we turned them into massive billboards displayed around the activation zone. A gallery of ocean lovers, right in the middle of the festival.
The activation
At the center, we set up a container with two tattoo artists from ORDER Tattoos. Free maritime designs, cold SEA Water, and the chance for festival-goers to take home their own piece of the ocean. Permanently.
The energy was real. People lined up and chose their designs. They left with fresh ink and the story to tell.
